Mercy Tours Inc. Terms & Conditions
Travel documents: a valid passport is required. Must be valid for at least 6 months after scheduled return date. Visas may be required for non-U.S. citizens.
Itineraries: Mercy Tours Inc. reserves the right to vary the sequence of any tour should circumstances require it. Some pilgrimages require extensive walking, so check with us in advance to be sure that your chosen itinerary is right for you. Those who require special assistance are advised that you will need to bring a qualified helper to assist you. Please contact us for further information.
Cancellations and refunds: All requests for cancellation and refunds must be in writing. The following penalties apply in case of your cancellation:
Cancel over 90 days prior to departure: $50 per person cancellation penalty.
Cancel 60-90 days prior to departure: $200 cancellation fee plus any airline penalties that may apply.
Cancel 59-30 days prior to departure: 50% cancellation penalty plus any airline penalties that may apply.
Cancel 30-7 days prior to departure: 80% cancellation penalty.
Cancel less than 7 days prior to departure: no refund.
We strongly urge you to take out optional trip cancellation insurance. These policies typically pay all penalties incurred if you have to cancel due to death or illness of a family member, medical condition or other unexpected event. It is well worth the peace of mind.
Tour cancellation by operator: Occasionally it may be necessary to cancel a tour due to lack of participation. In such case the operator's sole responsibility to provide a full refund. Mercy Tours Inc. is not responsible for and does not assume responsibility for any additional costs or fees relating to any other expenses. In cases where cancellation is the result of war and/or terrorism, acts of God or natural disasters Mercy Tours Inc. is not liable for restitution.
Tour Prices: are in U.S. dollars based on exchange rates as of June 1, 2010. Mercy Tours Inc. reserves the right to adjust rates at any time and without prior notice if conditions warrant.
Air Transportation: is in economy class on regularly scheduled IATA carriers.
Airport taxes and fuel surcharges: U. S. international departure taxes and international departure taxes are listed in each individual itinerary. Fuel surcharges may also apply and are not guaranteed until time of ticketing.
Baggage: We allow one bag weighing 50 pounds or less and a combined dimension of 62" (length+width+height). You are allowed one carry-on with maximum dimensions of 8"x12"x20". Since these requirements are subject to change by the airlines, we will provide you with any updated changes prior to your departure.
Transfers: Our pilgrimages include round-trip ground transfers. Passengers arriving on their own must meet up with the group upon arrival or arrange for their own transfers.
Itinerary and hotels: On occasion the local tour operator may have to make last-minute changes of the itinerary or hotel arrangements. Therefor we reserve the right to substitute hotels or other services at no cost adjustment.
Responsibility clause: Mercy Tours Inc. acts as a tour operator. The suppliers providing transportation, sightseeing arrangements and hotel accommodations for the tour programs are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Mercy Tours Inc. All coupons, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers. By utilizing the services of the suppliers, you agree that Mercy Tours Inc. will not be liable for any accident, loss, injury, or damage to you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond its control.
